Poor Baby Fred

Poor baby Fred. He apparently grew hair and a mustache while I was at my doctor's appointment today. Poor Annabelle. Sam and I are taking bets as to how long it will take before she meets a similar fate.

Waiting and waiting and waiting....

Annabelle's hospital bag is packed...
Her car seat is in the car...
Colin and Tyler's bag is ready to go...
The nursery is done...
My bag is mostly packed...
I have a huge stockpile of diapers and wipes...
Now its time to wait....
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

With 3 more weeks until my due date, I am pretty much a ticking time bomb.  Apparently, I am a very cute ticking time bomb.  Anytime I venture out of the house, random strangers flock to my side to tell me how cute I am, to remind me how hot it is, and ask how much longer before I explode.  Last week I was honest and said, "I've got 3-4 more weeks."  Now I lie.  I tell everyone, "Any day now." It amuses me to see just how quickly they run from me.  For some reason, the knowledge that my water could break all over their shoes tends to make most people uncomfortable.  I don't really mind discussing my pregnancy with the world, in fact most of the time people make my day with their kind comments.  Its just really, really funny to see people's reactions to the any day now comment.  Besides, I'm kind of secretly hoping that if I say it enough times, Annabelle might take the hint.

Kindergarten Awards

I am so proud of Colin. He got 6 awards today. He got the PE award and the citizenship award. Both awards were only given to two Kindergarten students. He also got two math awards, a reading award, and an award for completing kindergarten. I cried each time he crossed the stage. I laughed when he informed me he should've gotten the best dressed award. To bad they don't recognize the snazzy dressers in Kindergarten.

Pink Party

I'm not sure I can adequately put into words how much I enjoyed Annabelle's baby shower. There is just something so wonderful about being in a room filled with people you love celebrating the upcoming birth of your child. Annabelle was a wish I never thought would come true. After I had Tyler, I secretly hoped for a third child, but I knew it was a dream that would probably never come true. Needless to say, celebrating the dream you never thought would come true with the people you love most was an overwhelming, amazing, one of a kind experience. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to everyone who was there to celebrate Little Miss Annabelle.

My dear sweet mother has thrown all three if my baby showers, and each time she completely amazes me with her creativity and her kindness. She fills my heart with love, and she makes me feel special.

My wonderful mother in law, Kathy, made these beautiful letters for Annabelle's nursery. They make my heart happy every time I look at them.

My BFFs, Kelly, Jennifer, and Amy. We met at Gymboree years ago and have been friends ever since. Jennifer and Amy helped my mom hostess the shower, and they single handedly furnished my nursery with all of their baby gear. They are the most amazing, generous, loving women I've ever met.

I can't believe I'm already 36 weeks. Only 28 more days to go!

My pink party cake. I can't bring myself to let anyone eat the baby.

Pool Fun

Today was our first pool outing of the season. Our neighborhood pool isn't open yet, but one of our customers has a pool that we have an open invitation to swim at. This particular customer spends 99% of his time at his other house in Utah, so needless to say his pool doesn't get a lot of use. We decided to show the pool a little love today. We had a blast! Sam and Tyler caught a frog, Colin found the courage to jump in from the top of the rock wall, and I had a great time floating my big ol' belly. I see a lot more pool days in our future. Colin even told me he'd take me swimming for Mother's Day.
