It'll be funny later

What a morning! I woke up with a muscle cramp in my back that made me sick to my stomach. Because I was in so much discomfort, Sam helped the boys
get ready for school. Colin wanting to pitch in as well decided to make his own school lunch. Everything was going smoothly until I heard Colin having a nervous breakdown in the garage. Apparently, his water bottle had come open in his book bag and completely soaked all of his school books and his homework. My poor sweet Colin just knew his teacher, a very calm, sweet, gentle soul, was going to read him the riot act for turning in soggy homework. Sam tried to explain to him that his teacher wouldn't be mad and did his best to dry everything out, but Colin was still on the verge of having a nervous breakdown. By the time, Sam got Colin's school work somewhat dry, his lunch repacked, and a replacement book bag set up, the bus was long gone, and luckily after puking several times, I was feeling well enough to take over getting the children ready for school.

I managed to get everyone in the car and made the decision to drop Tyler off at school first because Colin was already incredibly late, and if I hurried, there was still a chance I might get Tyler to school on time.

As we were sitting in car pool, I made an important discovery. I'd manage to forget Tyler's lunch and his book bag for the second time this week. Undeterred, I took Colin's soggy books out of his book bag and sent it and Colin's lunch to class with Tyler.

I drove him, packed lunch number 3 for Colin, and loaded up Tyler's book bag with his books that at this point were just a little damp. I got him to school, explained the flooded book bag to his teacher, and came home.

Once home, I went next door to the book club I was already 45 minutes late for. After making my apologies and detailing my morning crisis, one of the mommies inquired if I'd remembered to send in a towel
and a pillow for the movie party. Crap! I mentally added that to the list of things I'd forgotten this morning. Thankfully, one of the book club mommies was heading up to the school and volunteered to save the day and deliver the forgotten items.

It's only noon now, but I'm pretty sure I'm ready to go to bed and start all over again. Oh well! I am sure that when I look back on this day, I'll laugh because it really was kind of funny!
